Frequently Asked Questions

Are molds built domestically or overseas?
The molds we provide are primarily built overseas to offer cost-effective solutions, while still meeting our quality and performance standards. When project requirements call for it, we also work with trusted domestic mold builders. Either way, all mold validation, maintenance, and production runs happen in-house at our Concord, NH facility.

No project is too small or too large. We work with startups and Fortune 500 companies alike, supporting everything from short-run production to high-volume programs that scale to millions of parts per year. New England Molding means any molding and we mean it.

Yes. All new projects undergo a validation process prior to full production. This allows us to establish processing parameters, define quality protocols, and provide samples for customer approval to ensure all specifications are met before volume runs begin.
Yes and we take pride in it. We’re accessible and flexible, and we’ll meet on short notice when it matters. Our team can even bring you onto the production floor to watch your project in action. Clear, proactive communication is at the heart of how we work with every customer.
Yes. We prefer working with blanket orders, especially for larger production needs, and can support agreements for up to 12 months. Blanket orders let you take advantage of volume pricing without receiving all parts at once. We manage releases on a pre-set schedule or Kanban-style your product is always on the shelf and ready to ship when you need it.

Lead times vary depending on the press, its current schedule, and your program’s complexity. It’s best to speak with your New England Molding sales representative for an accurate estimate lead times can fluctuate throughout the year. We’re always upfront about timelines and will tell you what’s realistic before you commit.

We do not provide in-house prototyping. However, we can connect you with trusted local resources for prototyping and CAD design. Once your design is ready for production-grade tooling, our team takes over to scale it into full plastic injection molding.
We work with a wide range of resins acetals, nylons, polyolefins, ABS, polycarbonate, TPE, urethanes, and high-performance engineering plastics. The only resin we do not process is PVC, due to safety and health considerations in our facility. If your part specifies PVC, our engineering team can recommend alternatives.
